WMKN  AD 2.20  LOCAL AERODROME REGULATIONS

2.20.1  Visual Circling Restriction
  1. Visual circling prohibited beyond 3nm from threshold Runway 04 due high terrain (hill elevation 1145FT) located about 4.8NM Southwest of the aerodrome.

  2. Cat C & D aircraft prohibited from visual circling Southwest of runway.

2.20.2  Arrivals
  1. ATC SMC shall direct arriving aircraft to the main parking apron and assign the parking stand number. The pilot shall follow VDGS where provided or marshaller as appropriate.

  2. General aviation light aircraft shall park at the flying school light aircraft apron unless directed otherwise by ATC SMC.

2.20.3  Departures
  1. Departing IFR flights shall contact ATC SMC to obtain start-up and push back clearance. The pilot-in -command and marshallers shall be responsible for the safety of aircraft with respect to vehicles, persons and obstructions during start-up and pushback.

  2. All aircraft at power-in and power-out parking bays shall taxi at minimum power until clear of the appropriate blast zone.

2.20.4  Procedures for VFR flights within the Kuala Terengganu CTR
  1. A flight plan shall be filed for the flight.

  2. ATC clearance shall be obtained from Terengganu TWR.

  3. Any deviation from ATC clearance requires prior permission.

  4. The flight shall be conducted with vertical visual reference to the ground.

  5. Two – way communication shall be established with KualaTerengganu Approach on 123.6MHZ or 235.32MHZ prior to entering the Kuala Terengganu CTR.

  6. All VFR flights shall follow the established VFR Routes for entering and exiting the CTR, as shown in Visual Chart. Any deviation outside these routes requires prior ATC permission.

  7. All arriving aircraft shall hold at the designated VFR Holding area at 1000 feet and await onward ATC clearance for landing.

2.20.5  Arriving Aircraft Parking Arrangement
2.20.5.1 Parking at main apron

2.20.5.2 When Bay 1, Bay 2, Bay 3, Bay 4 is occupied, no aircraft is allowed to be parked at Bay 1A, Bay 2A, Bay 3A, Bay 4A and vice versa.
2.20.5.3 No simultaneous aircraft movement is allowed either power-in, push back and power-out at the main apron.

2.22.1. Communication failure procedures as per AIP Malaysia, ENR 1.6 - 3 Para 1.6.2.1 are to be adopted by pilots.

2.23.1  Kite Flying In The Vicinity Of The Airport
2.23.1.1 Kite flying at approach path RWY 04. Pilots to exercise caution.
2.23.2  Bird Concentration In The Vicinity Of The Airport
2.23.2.1 Presence of birds on runway and approach of Runway 04 and Runway 22. Pilots to exercise caution during landing and take-off.
2.23.3. All aircraft are not allowed to make locked wheel turn on the runway.
