WMKE  AD 2.20  LOCAL TRAFFIC REGULATIONS

  1. Helicopters departure to and from the offshore oil location 100 - 150NM due North, North East and East.

  2. Off-shore flights are carried out at altitude between 500FT and 6500FT VMC or IMC.

  3. Night flying (local and off-shore) takes place frequently at irregular times.

  4. No lock-wheel turn on runway for aircraft type Fokker 50 and above. Aircraft to use turn pad at end of RWY 16.

  5. Aircraft to avoid flying over Kerteh and Paka integrated Petrochemical Complex below 2000FT.

  6. Western circuit applicable to fixed - wing aircraft in VMC by day at 1800FT.

  7. Eastern circuit applicable to rotor-wing aircraft in VMC at 1500FT.

  8. Visual approach flights for runway 16 to avoid Petrochemical Complex at Santong, Paka.

2.22.2.1  Kertih Airport is meeting the requirement and capable of operating as per visibility condition stated below:

Visibility Condition 1 -
*Horizontal visibility sufficient for pilot to taxi and to avoid collison with other traffic on the taxiways and at intersections by visual reference, and for personnel of air traffic control units to exercise control over all traffic on the basic of visual surveillance;and

*The visibility shall not be less than 800M or 550M RVR.
