2.23.1  ATS PROCEDURES
2.23.1.1 During Operating Hours of Lumut Tower:
  1. Acft opr into Pulau Pangkor are to ctc Lumut Tower as directed by Lumpur Flight Service (FIS) and report 3 mins before ldg at Pulau Pangkor to Lumut Tower;

  2. Departing acft shall coordinate with Lumut Tower for ATC clearance or Flight Information prior to departure by the use of telephone

2.23.1.2 When Lumut Tower is not operational:
  1. Acft opr into Pulau Pangkor shall report 5 mins before ldg at Pulau Pangkor to Lumpur Flight Information Service or Ipoh Tower (if landing report is not acknowledge by the respective ATC Unit, the pilot in command or his representative, on landing shall inform Lumpur ATCC or Ipoh Tower wi 30 mins of his arrival by the use of telephone.

  2. Departing acft shall coordinate with Lumpur Flight Information Service or Ipoh Tower for ATC clearance or Flight Information prior to departure by the use of telephone.

2.23.1.3 Inbound aircraft into Pangkor from Ipoh & North track via Pantai Remis and then final for RWY 22. For departure vice-versa.
2.23.1.4 Inbound from south - from TA track via Pulau Pangkor Laut for right base RWY 22. Departure make left turn to Pangkor Laut then set course.

Note:

  1. Arriving acft may pass departure details to Lumpur FIS prior to landing at Pangkor. However pilots must adhere as close as possible to the proposed estimated time of departure (ETD).

  2. Pulau Pangkor airstrip is located to the west of NAVAL base at Lumut. Military helicopter training area (WMR416) has been established. Pilots are to exercise caution.

  3. Aircraft are not permitted to overfly the Naval installation base.

  4. Pilots are required to make flypast over the runway before attempting to land. Make right hand circuit RWY 22.
