    WMKM  AD 2.20   LOCAL AERODROME REGULATIONS

    2.20.1  Local Flying Restrictions
    2.20.1.1 Over Malacca City
    1. Light aircraft not less than 1000FT.

    2. Medium aircraft not less than 1500FT.

    2.20.1.2 Circuit - Active Circuit: Left Hand Circuit for RWY 03; Right Hand Circuit for RWY 21.

    Circuit Height - Light Category Aircraft - 1000FT; Medium Category Aircraft 1500FT.

    2.20.2  Departing Aircraft /Start Up.
    2.20.2.1 To regulate the movement of aircraft with respect to other aircraft on the apron, departing aircraft shall contact MALACCA GROUND on 121.6MHZ for start-up.
    2.20.2.2 The pilot-in-command and aircraft marshallers shall be responsible for the safety of aircraft with respect to all other aircraft, vehicles, persons and other obstructions on the apron during docking, engine start-up, taxiing and also ensuring the appropriate blast zone behind the aircraft is clear during engine start-up.
    2.20.2.3 The pilot shall contact ATC for taxiing instructions prior to entering the manoeuvring area. ATC Clearance shall be issued before start-up (for IFR) or on taxiing (for VFR).
    2.20.2.4 Clearance to enter active runway and departure clearance shall be issued by the Tower on 118.0MHZ.
    2.20.3  Arriving Aircraft Parking Arrangement
    2.20.3.1 Arriving schedule aircraft will be allocated a Stand/Bay number by SMC.
    2.20.3.2 Upon entering the apron, pilot shall look-out for marshaller to guide aircraft to the assigned parking stand.
    2.20.3.3 General aviation aircraft will normally be allocated open bay (Bay R1, R2, R3 or R4) at General Aviation Apron. Aircraft operator shall make their own arrangement if marshalling service is required.
    2.20.3.4 Turbo propeller aircrafts C130 and below are allowed to be parked at Holding point B
    2.20.3.5 Parking at main apron.
    1. Bay 1 and Bay 2 - Power in and power out mode.

    2. Bay 1A - Power in and push back mode.

    2.20.3.6 Helipad - not available. Pilot to follow ATC instructions for parking.
    2.20.3.7 Aircraft pushed back from Bay 1A shall follow tow tug push back line and pushed back is restricted to aircraft stand taxilane A1 only.
    2.20.3.8 When Bay 1 is occupied, no aircraft is allowed to be parked at Bay 1A and vice versa.
    2.20.3.9 No simultaneous aircraft operations for Bays R1, R2, R3, R4 when aircraft pushed back from Bay 1A to aircraft stand taxilane A1 and vice versa.
    2.20.4  Removal of Aircraft.
    2.20.4.1 Removal of a crash/disable aircraft is the responsibility of the airport operator and the aircraft owner or operator. In the case of a reportable accident, the permission of the Chief Inspector, Air Accidents Investigation Bureau (AAIB), Ministry of Transport is required prior to the removal.

    WMKM  AD 2.22  FLIGHT PROCEDURES

    2.22.1  PROCEDURES FOR VFR FLIGHTS WITHIN MALACCA CONTROL ZONE
    2.22.1.1 All VFR flights shall be conducted in accordance with the visual flight rules and obtain ATC clearance.
    2.22.1.2 Two way radio communication shall be established and maintained on the appropriate frequency.
    2.22.1.3 All aircraft operating over the coastline must not fly less than 1000FT over a stretch from Terendak Camp until Petronas oil refinery plant in Sungei Udang and to avoid flying directly overhead these two areas.

    WMKM  AD 2.23  ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

    2.23.1. Due to only one main taxiway accessible to the runway from the main apron and vise versa, departing aircraft may be required to either hold at main/general aviation apron to facilitate landing aircraft taxiing in.
    2.23.2. Pilots to exercise caution:
    1. Bird concentration in vicinity of airport

    2. Kite flying within 5KM radius of airport.

    2.23.3. All jet engine aircraft including Hercules C-130 taxiing out from the main apron shall taxi on minimum power until they are established on taxiway A.
    2.23.4. Remote Apron (Holding Area) usable only during daylight hours.
    2.23.5. No back track on runway for aircraft category C and above. Aircraft to back track on runway turn pad
    2.23.6. Cranes erected within 2NM radius of Malacca aerodrome.Pilot to exercise caution during take off and landing from surface to 100 feet AMSL.
