FORECAST PROVISION OF DIGITAL/ELECTRONIC TERRAIN, OBSTACLE ANDAERODROME MAPPING DATA SETS
Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) has commissioned a project to enable the provision of digital/electronic terrain, obstacle and aerodrome mapping data sets involving Kuala Lumpur FIR (KL FIR), Kota Kinabalu FIR (KK FIR) and a number of aerodromes in both regions.
Project works include satellite remote sensing, drone aerial survey and manual ground survey followed by data processing works which are expected to be completed in July 2023.
Once available, AIP Malaysia ENR 5.4 and AD 2.10 will be updated. The digital data sets themselves will be provided by AIS to interested users and may be subject to the introduction of related fees and charges.
